After I left UD and FDU, I moved to LBI where I worked at a newspaper and learned to scuba dive--a hobby that has taken me all over the world. For years I taught scuba and wrote for dive and travel magazines. I even wrote a coffee table book about shipwrecks--one of my favorite subjects.
For the past 15 years I've lived in Bucks County, and I do corporate communications, marketing and computer-based training. I'm in the process of trying to sell my first novel--about a group of divers who discover an unidentified shipwreck in dangerously deep water. They say all first novels are at least partly autobiographical, and in this case, it's true.
When I hit 40, I had a midlife crisis and bought a horse. I don't get in the water so much anymore, but I have a little trail riding vacation almost every day. It's a good life. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody in November.

My daughter is now 24 and living in Hoboken. She is still into music and manages to sing quite a bit and has a job in the insurance industry as well. My son will be a senior at Shippensburg this year and is still enjoyiing the marching band there.

I am still very active with science fairs in our area as a judge and I started a fair in the Lehigh Valley 12 years ago which just hosted over 450 projects.

I am so glad to see this website, nice to see the pictures. Sorry I couldn't make it to the 30th reunion - I was in Alabama visiting my wife's parents. That is me, the tall one next to my lovely wife in blue on the left, alittle heavier then my 'in shape' high school days [right], but still active in the fire service in Delaware [Rescue Captain/firefighter & EMT]. This picture is from my dad's Wissahickon Fire Company banquet, where he received his 50 year pin for active service - he got me started in the fire service back in 1973, to which I owe him a great deal [not to mention my only save  of an 18 month old girl on January 17, 2004 !!!I have two children from my first wife of ten years, my daughter Brandi is married and living in Dover, DE [soon to be moving near Boston, MA]. My son Dan is going to be graduating from Columbia College in Chicago  this year - he is currently employed by the City of Chicago - Grant Park Theater. After graduating UD, I received my Associates Degree at Delaware Technical & Community College in Newark, DE.  I was hired by PennDel Sprinkler company in 1977 - I then moved back to PA and worked for Grinnell Fire Protection in 1979 for 10 years.  I am currently the Vice President of Sales for Bear Industries in Newark, DE [largest merit shop sprinkler contractor in Delaware].Hope to hear from you guys & girls.

Uta (the beautiful lady with me at the last reunion) and I got married in May of 2009.  It's been a wonderful year and easy adjustment for this one time confirmed bachelor!  We hope to see you all at the next reunion.

HiHo UDers!  How does one summarize 40 years?  I graduated from Tufts University in Boston in 1979 and hitch hiked out west and landed in Seattle WA.  In betwwen some travelling and short stints working in Reno and Philly, I have made Puget Sound my home ever since.  I love the green and the water and mountains.  It's also a fun, progressive place with folks who grew up all over living hear.  Some of my bestest friends happen to be from Philly (I can relate to them).  I am currently executive director of our local United Way, involved in promoting volunteerism, raising money for community impact and issues from early learning to homelessness.  I have two great kids (well, they are now, anyway, at ages 22 and 24) and am into art, gardening and home improvement.  I hope to attend the reunion this year and see many of you!  Come visit!

I am into the 7th yr of my 2nd marriage and have 2 girls from the 1st one. Shannon who is 29 and lives in Annandale NJ w my X. My youngest, who is not so young anymore, Nicole graduated from UCONN and is now a working for Yelp NY (yikes!!!). My husband was in a bad car accident 7 1/2 yrs ago and had 6 back surgeries which forced me to leave the salon that I was in and open a salon in my home. He needed me so this was the best alternative. It turns out that it was the best thing to do. I have a beautiful salon and I am my own boss. I simply love design, whether it be hair or fashion or home design. I do all three!! Some things never change, comforting isn't it?

Really glad to find this site. WOW. 30 YEARS!! I left Upper Dublin after my 11th grade and went on to a prep school, The Peddie School, but have always felt thet UDHS was my high school.

Did a stint at Penn State and found myself playing music for a living. That lasted 10 years or so. Got into telecommunications for the following 10 years or so.

Then, during a more adventurous time in October of 1988, I sold my house, bought a sailboat and left the Philly area for ports unknown. Didn't really have a sail-plan except to head South since it was becoming cold.

To make a LONG story short, 200 miles off the Eastern coast I found myself in a storm and sinking. The Coast Guard towed me into an inlet of North Carolina and I've been here since.

I have Kim (wife) and 2 boys (14 and 6). Continue to play in local bands and sink sailboats. Settled and happy.

Look forward to seeing you at the reunion

Scott

I HAVE BEEN MANAGING HOTELS FROM BEVERLY HILLS TO WEST PALM BEACH SINCE LEAVING PENN STATE IN 79'. SINCE 1999 I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN HEAVEN, IN THE OUTER BANKS OF NORTH CAROLINA, MANAGING A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY CALLED KITTY DUNES. WE RENT OVER 460 VACATION HOMES ALONG THE BEACH. I JUST LOVE IT! I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR OVER 21 YEARS AND HAVE 3 SONS. MY OLDEST (AJ) IS A MARINE WHO IS PRESENTLY SERVING IN IRAQ. GOD I MISS HIM. MY SECOND OLDEST (19-JESSE) IS A STUDENT AT EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY AND HAS TAKEN UP MANY OF THE HABITS OF HIS DEAR OLD DAD FROM HIS DAYS! MY YOUNGEST (DAVID) IS A FRESHMEN AND VARSITY WRESTLER AT FIRST FLIGHT HIGH SCHOOL. MY WIFE AND I WILL BE MOVING TO ONE OF THE HOMES WE OWN IN ARIZONA ONCE MY YOUNGEST GRADUATES FROM HIGH SCHOOL. I MISS THOSE DAYS FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND THINK ABOUT THEM OFTEN. ESPECIALLY THE FRIENDS THAT WERE SO CLOSE TO ME. IT'S HARD TO VIEW THE IN MEMORIAM SECTION OF THIS WEB SITE. TOM LIVED RIGHT BEHIND ME, WE GREW UP TOGETHER, AND MARTA WAS ALWAYS A VISION OF BEAUTY. IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE LOST SO MANY OF OUR CLASSMATES.
